Fullham Office Development
Cox Bulleid Architects have been appointed to design a new low carbon office building in West London. The brownfield site is sandwiched between a terrace of shops with housing on one side and a church on the other and will be redeveloped to provide additional office space for the existing export business at the rear of the site.
The building form responds to the surrounding context with highly insulated walls of dark brickwork at upper levels above coloured render and metalwork panels at ground level. Windows are set far back within coloured aluminium reveal panels giving dynamic oblique views as the building is approached along Lillie Road.
Night time cooling vent panels allow natural ventilation and reduce road noise in the office spaces. A green roof and rain water harvesting minimise water usage and waste run off, with hot water supplied via solar thermal panels.
